Green Destinations Conference 2025

The Green Destinations Conference will be held in Montpellier from September 28 to 30, 2025. 

Green Destinations is an international label that certifies destinations based on their commitment to sustainable tourism. Accreditation is granted by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  

This will give Montpellier Métropole an opportunity to further strengthen its position as a territory committed to environmental and social transition in France and Europe, while highlighting its actions in support of more sustainable and inclusive tourism development. 

The program will take place over five days, with pre- and post-conference educational tours bringing together some 300 sustainable tourism professionals from around the world, including leading tourism destinations, representatives of the Green Destinations certification program, ambassadors, and internationally renowned speakers. The event will feature thematic sessions and workshops, awards ceremonies, and on-site visits.
