Once again, there are new project leaders with high potential for value and job creation! The fourth edition of the French Tech Tremplin springboard program is no exception to the rule. A partner of this program, Montpellier BIC assists four of the winners of its latest cohort, all of whom chose to benefit from the incubator’s offering because of the high quality of its services and expertise.
The first is Nouria Rohari, who has created a digital medical device called FF Scan to diagnose fatigue. Manon Sauter has set up an online pediatric clinic at famillesante.fr. Yannis Boukari is developing Statera, a device designed to reduce tinnitus, whereas Béranger Peroni is fine-tuning an in situ microalgae production unit to feed farm animals.
Montpellier BIC is helping to bring these innovative projects, and more, to fruition. And for good reason. Spearheaded by Mission French Tech, the French Tech Tremplin springboard program has been promoting equal opportunities since 2019, providing funding for entrepreneurs from underrepresented backgrounds and covering incubation costs for one year. As such, the program ensures that talents from all walks of life have access to the same benefits as entrepreneurs from more privileged backgrounds.
That is why Montpellier BIC, which set up operations in the La Mosson district in 2024, has been involved in this program since its inception. How? By providing personalized assistance to the selected recipients, including mentoring, workshops, networking, and co-working space, to help them overcome obstacles and make their projects a reality more quickly.
A challenge well met! “French Tech Tremplin helped us get organized properly. The biggest benefit was receiving assistance from Montpellier BIC,” confirms Pierre Aguy, French Tech Tremplin laureate in 2023. Doomli Formation, the online training platform he created, now provides dog owners with all the right techniques and professional advice for grooming their pets themselves, depending on the particularities of their specific breed. “Thanks to this program, I was able to spend a year fine-tuning my business project to make it sustainable,” he adds.
Jonathan Gomez shares his opinion. Andragogy, the company he founded and where he is CEO is redefining learning! Leveraging artificial intelligence, adaptive learning, and advanced natural language processing techniques, his startup has set up a platform on which training modules are adapted to the level and background of each learner, in all types of fields, including accounting, languages, IT, marketing, and more.
“French Tech Tremplin helped us speed up our business project, and Montpellier BIC put us in touch with LIRMM, the Montpellier Laboratory of Computer Science, Robotics and Microelectronics,” says Jonathan Gomez, whose goal is to become the leader in France for customized, personalized learning. A joint research laboratory of the University of Montpellier and the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), LIRMM has been working on a project to create the platform. Andragogy is now preparing to launch a fund-raising campaign to help triple its activity quickly and accelerate R&D. French Tech Tremplin truly helps break down barriers.
